BuddyTag - Presented by Willie Wu
Le Vise Products (dba Buddy Tag®) designs and manufactures wearable devices for parents to track their children to keep them safe.
Their first product Buddy Tag®, launched Nov. 2013, uses low-cost Bluetooth technology to help prevent lost children and accidental drowning. Buddy Tag® has achieved total sales of over $1million in the first two years. They are near completion on a GPS-enabled device called Buddy Tag® Plus. They are raising seed capital for our third generation Buddy Tag®, an all purpose location tracker without the need of GPS.
First generation Buddy Tag® helps prevent lost children and accidental drowning by alerting parents when the child wearing Buddy Tag® has gone out of the pre-set proximity or have submersed in a pool or lake. Buddy Tag® Plus added GPS to be able to pinpoint the location of the child once he/she is out of the proximity. Buddy Tag® 3rd generation will be able to perform location tracking both indoor and outdoor without the need of GPS.

Willie Wu - CEO
His terrifying experience of losing his daughter at Six Flags over Texas inspired Willie to build Buddy Tag®. Willie led the development from conceptualization, prototyping to mass production, and he nurtured the business to amass over $1million total revenue in two years with limited funding. Willie has over 20 years of experience in high-tech and manufacturing industries. Currently Willie is the managing director at PQD International, a product development and manufacturing company for small enterprises and entrepreneurs, leading its sales, engineering and manufacturing teams located in Texas, Taiwan and China. Prior to PQD, Willie held multiple sales, marketing, and engineering positions at multiple high-tech companies, including two startups that were acquired by Rambus, LSI Logics, and Broadcom. Willie has an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, a MS in Electrical Engineering from Southern Methodist University, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
Terrell R. Bennett - CTO
Terrell R. Bennett recently completed his PhD work in Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas at Dallas where he has been a full time student since 2013. From September 2015 through May 2016, he was also a visiting researcher at Texas A&M University. His research focused on signal processing and algorithm design for wearable sensors to detect activities, estimate motion, and improve the quality of the sensor data and understand how these sensors can be used to detect interactions as part of the Internet of Things. For his PhD work, Terrell has received the Texas Analog Center of Excellence Analog Fellowship, the best of doctoral colloquium award at Body Sensor Networks 2014, and the best presentation of session award at the American Control Conference 2013. He received his SB in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2002 and his MS in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2007. Professionally, he has worked with Motorola, Accenture, and Texas Instruments.
